A number of people have been asking lately about my business name, Move Authentically. This name was developed when I started my business 9 years ago. I was envisioning physiotherapy care that genuinely helped folks move and be the best in their own bodies. There are many reasons we can develop tightness/compensation/pain, and moving authentically is trying to strip down the compensation patterns to help you move about your day in your own unique way.
The word authentic is also the way that I approach client care. I use my strengths and values that are unique to me, to try and connect with clients and help coach them to get them back to doing what they love! As an example, I use my compassion to connect with client’s stories, I use my ability to discover and uncover factors that may be contributing to one’s ailments, and use my strength of striving to help propel people to their next level. I love learning, whether it’s physio or otherwise, and use this skill to help give my clients the best care I can. By using these strengths daily, I strive to physically and mentally move through my day authentically.
