Christine Campbell, Physiotherapist, performing ankle mobilisation on a patient

We know that starting physiotherapy, especially in a new space, can feel a little uncertain. At Move Authentically Physiotherapy, we’re here to make sure your first visit feels welcoming, relaxed, and empowering from the moment you walk through the door.

What You Can Expect at Move Authentically Physiotherapy:

1. A Warm, Personal Welcome

Your appointment begins with a one-on-one conversation. We’ll take the time to learn about you, your history, your goals, your concerns, and how your body is feeling. It’s a chance for us to understand not just what’s going on physically, but how it’s affecting your life.

2. A Thorough, Holistic Assessment

We’ll look at how your body moves, how it holds tension, and how different areas may be compensating. This assessment goes beyond just the site of pain, we’re looking at the full picture to understand why the issue is happening and how we can support you.

3. Hands-On Care and Movement Guidance

Expect a combination of hands-on therapy (if appropriate), movement/exercise, and education. Whether it’s soft tissue work, joint mobilization, or movement retraining, every treatment is tailored to your needs and comfort.

4. Your Questions Answered

You’ll have space to ask questions, share your observations, and participate actively in your plan. We’re here to listen, explain, and collaborate, so you always feel informed and in control.

5. A Personalized Plan, No Cookie Cutters Here!

You’ll leave with a clearer understanding of your body and a plan that reflects you. That might include exercises, breath work, movement cues, or self-care strategies to support your progress between sessions.

Start Your Physiotherapy Journey With Confidence

If you’ve been considering physiotherapy but weren’t sure what to expect, know that your first visit is simply the beginning of understanding your body better. At Move Authentically Physiotherapy, we work with individuals throughout Kingston to explore the root causes of pain, movement limitations, and tension in a supportive and collaborative environment. Our goal is to help you feel comfortable, informed, and confident about the steps ahead. If you’re ready to start moving with more ease and clarity, booking your first appointment with our team is a great place to begin.
